Our name, The Step 13 Addiction Recovery Program is one not just of happenstance. The step 3 in any 12-step addiction recovery program is the step where many slip and relapse in their addiction recovery. It is the step in the 12-steps where alcoholics and addicts are led to choose an undefined, imaginary god of their own understanding to lead them out of their addictions. It is the step where many end up choosing a powerless, lifeless, fictitious, made-up god that is incapable of answering prayers and performing the miracles needed to setting them free from their sins and addictions. Our name represents our primary function and mission of exposing The One True Living God of the Bible and His Son Jesus Christ to the millions of lost souls who find their way into AA 12-step meetings only to be led astray when they reach step 3!
